The challenge is designed to improve your oral hygiene and general health by showing you how to use your toothbrush, floss and interdental brushes effectively so that you can clean your smile and prevent dental diseases.
The 28 Day Smile does recommend the use of a power toothbrush as advised by the Department of Health, however technique is of upmost importance and you can definitely complete the challenge using a manual toothbrush.

Q. I don't like using floss, will I really have to use it or can I just skip this part and concentrate on toothbrushing?
A. This is your challenge, do to your way, however if you only do half of the work, it should be of no surprise that you will only get half of the results possible.

Q. Why did Kirsty create the 28 day smile?
Kirsty Shaw BSc the Dental Hygiene Therapist behind The 28 Day Smile created the program to help her patients maintain optimum oral hygiene in maintinance phase of their gum health treatment between appointments.
During her research for the program she became aware that there was nothing like this for the population at large. Kirsty could see the potential of helping patients outside of her practice in South Wales, by creating The 28 Day Smile she was able to invite anyone who wanted to invest in their smile to do so.
