Daily toothbrushing is essential to maintain a healthy smile, keeping your pearly whites looking good and keeping your breath fresh may be the reason that you brush; however the benefits of looking after your teeth can result in improvements throughout the rest of your body also.

Daily toothbrushing is essential to maintain a healthy smile, keeping your pearly whites looking good and keeping your breath fresh may be the reason that you brush; however the benefits of looking after your teeth can result in improvements throughout the rest of your body also.

If you’re not already brushing twice a day, perhaps one of the reasons below will convince you that time spent taking care of your oral hygiene really is worth investing in.
Oral Health Coach, Toothbrushing Advice
Just two minutes twice a day is all it takes to prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Removing plaque bacteria from the surfaces of your teeth is the best way to maintain a healthy smile. Bacteria that is left on the surface of your teeth can stick to your enamel and attract staining from tea, coffee, red wine and smoking.
Plaque left along your gum line has been linked to many systemic diseases; such as heart disease, alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, stroke and some cancers. Your mouth is the opening to your body, it makes sense to spend some time looking after your teeth whilst at the same time preventing bacteria from entering your bloodstream. Ongoing research is continually finding more evidence connecting the harmful bacteria associated with gum/periodontal disease and patients with the above diseases. Looking after your smile may prove to be a lifesaver.
Cost; can you really afford not to take care of your oral hygiene?
The cost of a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and interdental cleaning brushes is negligible compared to the money you would have to spend to replace your teeth. Prevention is always better than cure
If you’re not falling for my advice yet perhaps you are looking for an altogether different reason to fall in love with toothbrushing. A clean smile can boost your confidence and improve your chances of landing a date, as poor oral hygiene is said to be the number one turn off to a potential partner.
Reasons to brush and floss your teeth for a healthy smile
Well, I hope that I have given you a few reasons to brush up on your toothbrushing routine, and to ensure you never go to bed again without cleaning your smile, do let me know what you think in the comments below.
Best wishes
